CBS drama Fire Country has added Olivia Thirlby to its cast as a series regular for the upcoming fifth season. She will portray Cecilia Jade CJ Ryan, a decorated urban firefighter with a mysterious past.
The character is described as quick-witted and fiercely independent. After six months on the road, she ends up in Edgewater and crosses paths with Bode. Despite lacking experience with woodland fires, she is seen as a potential asset to Station 42.
Season 5 will consist of 13 episodes and is set to premiere this fall, though an exact date has not been announced. Thirlby becomes the first new series regular since the show debuted in 2022.
She joins original cast members Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer, and Diane Farr. Thirlby recently appeared in Wonder Man and Law & Order: Organized Crime.
