Leaders of the DC, PC, FA and PPD questioned on Saturday the statements by Finance Minister Jorge Quiroz about former President Gabriel Boric in the CAE collection debate.
The leaders said Quiroz acted more like an activist than a minister of state.
Álvaro Ortiz, new president of the Christian Democracy, said that when arguments run out, disqualifications begin. He added that the government lacks strategy and that each minister says what they want without measuring consequences.
Lautaro Carmona, president of the Communist Party, asked Quiroz to be more minister than activist. Constanza Martínez, leader of the Broad Front, called him a polemicist. Raúl Soto, head of the PPD caucus, accused the minister of taking fiscal policy into the ideological battle.
The criticisms arose after an interview Quiroz gave to Diario Financiero in which he stated that the former president does not like debts to be paid.
