Coach John Herdman summoned 11 Persib Bandung players to the Indonesia national team training camp in Bali. The number allows the Super League champions to form their own starting XI within the Garuda squad.
John Herdman summoned a total of 50 players to the training camp in Bali from 5-25 July 2026. Of that number, 11 come from Persib Bandung, including Teja Paku Alam, Sandy Walsh, Kakang Rudianto, Dion Markx, Marc Klok, Thom Haye, Adam Alis, Eliano Reijnders, Saddil Ramdani, Beckham Putra, and Ragnar Oratmangoen.
Vietnamese media outlet TheThao247 highlighted the dominance and called Persib the club contributing the most naturalized players. They assessed that the situation gives John Herdman more options to build a squad almost entirely filled by naturalized players.
The final squad will be trimmed to 24-26 players ahead of the AFF 2026 tournament running from 24 July to 26 August. The projected starting lineup is dominated by Persib players, although the final decision awaits evaluation during the training camp.
