From 6:00 p.m. on December 24 to 6:00 a.m. on December 25, no homicides were recorded in the jurisdiction of the Huila Police Department, reflecting the success of implemented preventive measures.
Although some isolated fights occurred in various municipalities, they did not cause significant disruptions to public order and were quickly resolved by surveillance patrols. Regarding mobility, the official report states that 13,894 people entered the department and 12,758 left, mobilizing a total of 26,652 vehicles during the festive period. As part of road controls, 30 traffic fines were issued.
In operational actions, one person wanted for domestic violence was captured in the municipality of Pitalito. Additionally, 4,686 pyrotechnic articles were seized, preventing potential injuries, especially to minors. The Police also confirmed no injuries or deaths from traffic accidents during the Christmas night.
However, a preliminary investigation is underway into the death of a minor in a traffic accident in San Agustín, as the exact time of the incident has not yet been determined, which may place it outside the reported period.
