President Prabowo Subianto received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday evening to discuss recent developments in Palestine.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Abbas conveyed appreciation for Indonesia's consistent support to the Palestinian people. Abbas also expressed hope that Indonesia would continue playing an active role in backing their struggle.
Foreign Minister Sugiono noted that the two leaders discussed recent developments in the Middle East region. Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to supporting the Palestinian struggle and emphasized that the two-state solution remains the only path to sustainable peace.
