Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming prequel series Vought Rising, set in the 1950s and starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash.
The teaser opens with Ben, played by Ackles prior to his transformation into Soldier Boy, declaring his desire to fight for the flag and become a hero. A voiceover follows, proclaiming that God blessed the world with extraordinary heroes, before showing a meeting between Ben and Clara, portrayed by Cash, who states there is a bright future that requires only action to seize it. The series is described as a twisted murder mystery exploring the origins of Vought, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the maneuvers of Stormfront, then known as Clara Vought. Ackles and Cash reprise their roles from The Boys, joined by new cast members including Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith. The project is set decades before the events of the original series and ties into Soldier Boy's storyline from season three.
