Real Madrid have confirmed that defender David Alaba will leave the club at the end of the season. The Austria international's contract expires in June after five years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid announced the departure on Thursday. Alaba, 33, made 131 appearances for the club and won nine trophies, including two LaLiga titles and two Champions League crowns. His playing time this season was limited to 15 matches due to injuries and competition from new signings Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras.
