FX has lined up an all-star lineup of returning performers for the thirteenth season of American Horror Story. The season, titled 13, is set to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Ryan Murphy announced the return of Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange. The production centers on characters from earlier seasons, particularly the witches of Coven and Apocalypse.
Filming began this spring, with several cast members spotted on location in New York City on July 9. Confirmed roles include Paulson as Cordelia Goode, Roberts as Madison Montgomery, Sidibe as Queenie, Grossman as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, Conroy as Myrtle Snow, Bassett as Marie Laveau, and Lange as Constance Langdon.
Other performers such as Peters, Lourd, and Bates have not yet confirmed their specific characters. The season will also feature John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the Clown and Matt Fraser as Paul the Illustrated Seal.
