SAG-AFTRA has revealed the dates for its upcoming Actor Awards ceremonies, set to stream live on Netflix. The 33rd annual event is scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2027, at 8 p.m. ET, with the 34th following on Sunday, February 20, 2028. The announcements come shortly after the Academy revealed dates for the 99th and 100th Oscars.
SAG-AFTRA, the union representing over 160,000 performers, announced the dates for the Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards. The 33rd Annual Actor Awards will air live on Netflix on Sunday, February 28, 2027, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The 34th ceremony is slated for Sunday, February 20, 2028. These events recognize outstanding performances in 15 categories for film and television, including individual and ensemble awards, with winners selected by guild members—the largest voting body in awards season. The ceremony presents its signature statuette, “The Actor,” and has been held since 1995, now exclusively on Netflix. The Actor Awards serve as a key indicator for the Oscars. This year's winners—Michael B. Jordan for “Sinners,” Jessie Buckley for “Hamnet,” Sean Penn for “One Battle After Another,” and Amy Madigan for “Weapons”—all secured Academy Awards for acting. “Sinners” won the ensemble prize, while “One Battle After Another” took best picture at the Oscars. The timing aligns with the final round of Oscars voting, following the Academy's announcement of its 99th Oscars on March 14, 2027, and the 100th on March 5, 2028. More details on submissions and deadlines will be released soon.
