Shakira has announced five additional US shows for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour due to overwhelming demand. The new dates are in San Jose, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, and Brooklyn this summer. Tickets go on sale next week.
Shakira revealed the extra US performances on Tuesday, May 5, following her historic Brazil shows that drew an estimated two million people to Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend. The limited US leg offers fans chances to see the production in arena settings. The newly added dates are June 20 at SAP Center in San Jose, California; June 28 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia; July 2 at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida; July 11 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts; and July 21 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. These join existing stops like June 13 and 14 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and others through late July. Citi and Verizon presales start Thursday, May 7, followed by artist presale on Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m. local time. General onsale opens Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. local time via shakira.com, with VIP packages available at vipnation.com. Outside the US, Shakira announced a new residency this fall at the temporary 50,000-capacity “Shakira Stadium” in Macondo Park, Madrid.
