The Korea Football Association (KFA) has imposed disciplinary sanctions on Shin Tae-yong over controversies during his time at Ulsan HD.
The sanctions include suspension of qualifications for up to 10 years, a ban from competitions, and possible permanent expulsion. The penalties apply only within South Korean jurisdiction.
The controversies involved an alleged assault on player Jeong Seung-hyun and playing golf during an away match. Shin lasted only 65 days at Ulsan HD before being dismissed.
Shin Tae-yong now serves as head coach of Persija Jakarta since June 2026. He led the team's first training session on 14 July 2026. The Football Association of Indonesia has notified him of the sanctions.
