Sixteen LIV Golf members will compete at the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale this week. Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau lead the group among players who qualified through various routes.
The final men's major of the 2026 season features 16 LIV Golf players sharing the field with PGA Tour competitors. This marks a reduction from the 19 who played last year at Royal Portrush.
Jon Rahm qualified via his 2023 Masters win and current world ranking. Bryson DeChambeau earned entry through his 2024 U.S. Open victory along with strong prior Open results.
Dustin Johnson withdrew from final qualifying and will miss the event for the first time since 2009. Sergio Garcia also failed to advance, while Phil Mickelson remains absent due to a personal family health matter.
Other participants include Tyrrell Hatton, Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, Louis Oosthuizen and Victor Perez, each qualifying through rankings, prior major wins or recent events.
