Spain arrests Argentine hacker known as Gov.eth

Spain's National Police arrested Matheo Enzo Torres Palacios in Madrid, identified as the hacker Gov.eth.

Spanish authorities detained the 22-year-old on June 25, 2026, at a property in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. The probe, led by Argentine federal judge Adrián González Charvay, links Torres Palacios to attacks from 2024 to 2026 on official sites in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Spain and the United States.

In April 2025 the hacker breached Perfil.com and posted Javier Milei's ID photo with insults. Torres Palacios is also accused of selling RENAPER and DNRPA data via Telegram.

An undercover Argentine Federal Police agent was key to locating him. The arrest belongs to the "Dictadores" case, which already produced 21 raids and eleven prior detentions.
