Studio Nicholson has unveiled a new version of the ASICS GEL-KINETIC sneaker that combines a leather upper with a technical sole. The design is set for release in South Korea next week.
The ASICS GEL-KINETIC SP features a soft nubuck leather upper paired with the brand's signature cushioned sole unit. Visible stitching has been minimized and a zip closure with a nubuck pull tab completes the look. The shoe will be offered in all black or brown leather. Felix O'Sullivan, Studio Nicholson brand manager, said the goal was to create a refined and minimalist formal sneaker that stands apart from current low-profile styles. The design aims to work with both tailoring and casual outfits. The sneaker is exclusive to the APAC region. It is scheduled to launch on June 12 at a pop-up in Seongsu and on the BEAKER website, with rollouts planned for Japan and China in July.
