Sweden secures final spot in European League

Sweden's women's national volleyball team defeated Hungary 3–1 in sets and advanced to the final in the European League.

The match was played in front of just over a thousand spectators at Idrottshuset in Örebro. Sweden thereby sent Hungary home and secured their place in the final.

Team captain Linda Andersson, 28, from Örebro, became emotional after the win. She said she has never been good at hiding her feelings.

The final is scheduled to be played in the same arena in one week. It is the first of two major events for the national team this summer.
