Member of Parliament Malcolm Momodou Jallow has been subjected to threats. An investigation into illegal threats is underway.
Malcolm Momodou Jallow, who previously represented the Left Party but is now an independent MP for Skåne, is under Säpo protection. The victim belongs to the central state leadership according to chief prosecutor Per Lindqvist.
The national unit for security cases is leading the investigation. There is a suspected person but no one has been detained. We believe the person is in Sweden, says Per Lindqvist.
Victim counsel Kristoffer Ståhl declines to comment citing the sensitive nature of the preliminary investigation. It is unclear when and where the threat occurred.
