Tarleton State University's track and field teams are heading to Spokane, Washington, for the 2026 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at The Podium. Abilene Christian University teams are also competing in the event, scheduled for Friday and Saturday. A pre-championship coaches' poll has been announced ahead of the competition.
The 2026 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place at The Podium in Spokane, Washington, marking the second consecutive year for Tarleton State University at this venue. Tarleton State's teams, including athletes such as Ca'terrin Cox, Jacob Thomas, Davi Torres, Victoria Cameron, Prestina Ochonogor, Malak Rashwan, Lauren Roy, Lokesh Sathyanathan, Sir Jonathan Sims, and Tayler Wessely, are set to participate.
Abilene Christian University (ACU) men's and women's track teams are also traveling to Spokane for the championships, which begin on Friday, February 27, 2026. ACU's women's competitors include Lauren Foxworth, Kee'Lani Whitlock, Neriah Williams in the 60m; Morgan Morris, Gracee Whiteaker, Madelyn McFadden, Emma Santoro in the 200m and 400m; and others across events like the 800m, mile, 3K, 5K, 60m hurdles, relays, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, weight throw, and pentathlon. On the men's side, ACU entries feature Raydrian Baltrip, Durrell Collins Jr., Abraham Olufemi-Dada in the 60m; Nickens Lemba, Ryan McMeen in the 400m; and participants in distance events, hurdles, relays, jumps, throws, and heptathlon.
The Western Athletic Conference has released its pre-championship coaches' poll, providing early insights into team expectations. This event serves as the final WAC Indoor Championships for the participating schools, with both Tarleton State and ACU aiming to contend for titles in various disciplines.
