Tesla Hollywood Diner celebrates first birthday with special events

Tesla's Hollywood Diner at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard marks its first anniversary on July 21, 2026, with a day of celebrations including a Cybercab display and Optimus robot.

The diner turns one year old with a full lineup of activities planned for the occasion. Events include a birthday menu, roller skating servers delivering orders, a light show, face painting, a photo booth, and a Skypad DJ.

Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen signed complimentary birthday hats for the first 50 customers who place in-car orders at midnight. The location has drawn attention since opening, with lines wrapping around the block on Santa Monica Boulevard.

The concept originated from ideas shared by Elon Musk as early as 2018, described as an old school drive-in blending elements of Grease and The Jetsons with Supercharging. In-car ordering from vehicle touchscreens forms the core model, which could expand to robotaxi fleets in the future.

Musk had indicated plans to open similar locations in major cities and along Supercharger routes if the initial site succeeded.
