The Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls completed a three-team trade on Monday night. Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick moved to the Nets while Nic Claxton went to the Bulls.
The Minnesota Timberwolves agreed to send Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to the Brooklyn Nets. In exchange, the Timberwolves received the No. 33 pick from the Nets along with a $33.3 million traded-player exception.
The Nets sent Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls as part of the deal. The transaction occurred shortly before another major trade involving Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Randle had been acquired by the Timberwolves from the Knicks in October 2024. The move created salary-cap flexibility for Minnesota and allowed the team to re-sign Ayo Dosunmu to a five-year, $112 million contract.
