Former Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith responded to recent remarks by Ben Roethlisberger about the Baltimore Ravens' championship prospects.
Smith spoke on CBS News Baltimore after Roethlisberger said on his podcast that the Ravens’ Super Bowl window is closed. Smith said the former Steelers quarterback never offers positive takes and questioned why anyone should care what he thinks.
Smith noted that the Ravens still have Lamar Jackson, who remains in his 20s and is one of the league’s top players. He added that the Pittsburgh Steelers roster is “trash” despite any offseason changes and that the team holds a false sense of improvement.
The Steelers defeated the Ravens in 2025 to win the AFC North. Both teams now have new head coaches. Jackson has started against the Steelers multiple times but holds only two regular-season wins in that span.
The Steelers added several veterans and drafted ten rookies during the offseason. The longtime AFC North rivalry is expected to continue when the teams meet again.
