Tour de France organisers have shortened the 21st stage to 89 km and confined it entirely to Paris on Sunday to ease emergency services in Gironde.
Due to fires in Gironde, the start originally planned in Thoiry has been moved to Paris. Rider presentations will take place around 15:40 in Thoiry, after which the riders will travel by coach to the capital for a 17:50 start from the Champs-Élysées finish line.
The riders will complete two additional laps of the final circuit before passing three times over the Côte de la Butte Montmartre via rue Lepic. The finish is scheduled for around 19:45.
The police prefecture stated that the interior minister has redeployed some security forces to the fire-affected areas. The organising team thanked all parties for their understanding and expressed solidarity with the affected populations.
