Union and Fragment release new Air Jordan 1 on February 27

The Air Jordan 1 collaboration between Union and Fragment is set for a wider release on Nike's SNKRS app. This sneaker, dubbed The Urahara Stitch, draws inspiration from the partnership between Chris Gibbs and Hiroshi Fujiwara. It will retail for $205 and is expected to sell out quickly.

Chris Gibbs of Union and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment have collaborated on a new edition of the Air Jordan 1, building on the legacy of their 2018 Union Air Jordan 1 release, which remains popular with an average resale price of $974 based on 42 sales over the last three months.

The sneaker first dropped during All-Star Weekend and will have a broader release on the SNKRS app on February 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET. Priced at $205 USD in men's sizing, it is available for purchase on Nike SNKRS, StockX, and GOAT.

Named The Urahara Stitch, the design reflects the cultural exchange between Tokyo and Los Angeles, stemming from Gibbs and Fujiwara's meeting in the 1990s. The Black and Varsity Red colorway takes cues from the 2014 Fragment Air Jordan 1 and the original Chicago or Bred designs. It features an aged sail midsole, royal blue outsole, and unfinished raw foam tongue. The construction includes premium leather with Union's UN/LA tag and signature stitching, Fragment's lightning bolt logo on the back heel, dual-brand insoles, and split-color laces.

This is one of three colorways planned for 2026, including Black/Royal and White, and a rarer White/Black version. An accompanying clothing capsule will also be available. On the secondary market, pairs are already selling for an average of $386 on StockX, based on 2,935 sales over the past three months. The release follows several raffles and is anticipated to be highly sought after.
