Universidad de Chile officially announced the arrival of Argentine winger Gonzalo Reyna. Sporting director Manuel Mayo confirmed that more reinforcements will join the squad.
The blue club presented the 19-year-old forward on Monday. He arrives from Racing on a one-year loan with an option to buy. Reyna highlighted Fernando Gago’s influence on his decision and praised the chance to play alongside Eduardo Vargas, Charles Aránguiz and Marcelo Díaz.
Mayo stated that the club continues to work in the transfer market. He noted ongoing talks with Uruguayan defender Valentín Gauthier, currently at León in Mexico, though no deal has been finalized yet.
The executive also defended recent signings and said the coaching staff and board agree on the profiles needed for the season.
