Major Wall Street indexes closed Tuesday in positive territory and completed a solid semester, while the Mexican peso and the Mexican Stock Exchange posted losses.
Wall Street ended Tuesday's session with gains. The Nasdaq rose 1.52 percent to 26,213.72 points, the S&P 500 gained 0.79 percent to reach 7,499.36, and the Dow Jones added 0.26 percent to 52,319.20.
For the semester, the Dow Jones advanced 8.85 percent, its best first half since 2021. The S&P 500 gained 9.6 percent and the Nasdaq exceeded 12 percent. The Russell 2000 recorded a rise of more than 21 percent.
In Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.0 percent and closed at 66,966.68 points. The peso depreciated 0.91 percent during June and ended the day at 17.4986 units per dollar.
