A woman was detained in Valparaíso on Saturday after trying to run over two Carabineros during a vehicle inspection.
The incident took place during a joint operation by the 3rd North Valparaíso Commissary and the National Service for the Prevention and Rehabilitation of Drug and Alcohol Consumption. The driver evaded the check and tried to run over the officers before fleeing.
Carabineros conducted a controlled follow of the vehicle to the intersection of Francia and Pedro Montt streets, where they intercepted and detained the woman. She had no driver's license and no prior police record.
The woman was brought before detention control for frustrated homicide against on-duty Carabineros. No officers were injured during the procedure.
