The electoral day in Neiva concluded on May 31 without security incidents and with positive citizen participation.
Local authorities highlighted the effectiveness of the security measures implemented in urban and rural areas. The Neiva Mayor's Office reported a positive balance, with calm at polling stations and exemplary voter conduct.
A total of 935 police officers, 250 soldiers and 150 Fiscalía officials took part in the operation. Three arrests occurred during the day, all for crimes unrelated to the electoral process.
Twenty-five polling stations featured fingerprint biometric systems and two used facial recognition to verify voter identity. Mayor Germán Casagua Bonilla called on citizens to respect the results and maintain peaceful coexistence.
