Leaders from 23 opposition parties will gather in Delhi on Monday to discuss strategy and address differences within the INDIA bloc.
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, TMC's Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav and others are expected at the Constitution Club meeting. Jairam Ramesh confirmed participation by 23 parties. The Aam Aadmi Party has already distanced itself from the bloc and will not attend. DMK is boycotting over Congress ties with TVK in Tamil Nadu, while TVK may join the alliance. The agenda focuses on strategy for the 2029 Lok Sabha polls and upcoming assembly elections, plus resolving internal differences. The meeting follows recent losses by TMC in West Bengal and DMK in Tamil Nadu. On Sunday Mamata Banerjee held a warm meeting with Arvind Kejriwal. CPI(M) plans to raise concerns with Congress over alleged ties in Kerala.
