Emiliano García-Page expressed his backing for judicial and police institutions today in Cuenca during the Castilla-La Mancha Day event.
Castilla-La Mancha president Emiliano García-Page called today for respect toward institutions at the regional Day event held in Cuenca. He offered closed support to the judiciary, the Fiscalía, the Guardia Civil and the Policía Nacional, including the UCO and UDEF units facing attacks for carrying out their duties.
Page rejected theories of a judicial coup against the Government. He noted that problems affecting some do not make Spain a failed state and that current tension stands farthest from the spirit of the Transition.
The Socialist leader urged citizens not to bring political tension home and appealed for consensus between parties. He recalled that the rules governing these institutions were designed by PP and PSOE under democracy.
