Arvind Mahour, a deputy collector in Morena district, was arrested on June 3 following a complaint of sexual exploitation. The arrest came after the woman alleged repeated assaults on the promise of marriage.
A 30-year-old woman filed the complaint at Civil Lines police station in Morena city. She alleged that Mahour exploited her on multiple occasions between March 2025 and June 2026, including during his posting as Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Sabalgarh. She also claimed he took her to government guest houses and threatened her and her family when she pressed for marriage. Police registered a case under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Deputy Inspector General Sunil Kumar Jain said Mahour was arrested late on June 3 and produced in court the next day, where he was sent to judicial custody. Mahour had been suspended in September after complaints of misconduct with another woman and irregularities in patwari transfers. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had ordered action at the time. He was reinstated later.
