Athletics call up Gage Jump for MLB debut start

The Athletics have promoted left-handed pitching prospect Gage Jump to the major leagues. He is scheduled to make his debut Tuesday night against the Mariners at Sutter Health Park.

The 23-year-old Jump ranks as the A's No. 3 prospect and No. 41 overall according to MLB Pipeline. He was drafted by Oakland in the 2024 Competitive Balance Round B at No. 73 overall out of LSU. Jump earned the call after a strong recent stretch at Triple-A Las Vegas, including seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts and no walks in his most recent outing.
