Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng claimed her Instagram and Facebook accounts were suspended after questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Norway visit. She described it as a small price to pay for press freedom.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Norway, journalist Helle Lyng shouted a question at him after a joint press briefing asking why he does not take questions from the world's freest press.

The viral video led to online backlash and trolling on Indian social media. Helle Lyng posted on X that her Instagram and Facebook accounts had been suspended.

She wrote that this was a small price to pay for press freedom but that she had never experienced anything like it before. Her X followers rose from around 400 to more than 45,000 after the incident.
