At the opening of Projo's III Congress in Jakarta, Chairman Budi Arie Setiadi signaled strong intentions for the organization to join the Gerindra Party led by President Prabowo Subianto. He stated the move would happen soon and pledged Projo's support for Prabowo's flagship programs. Gerindra's Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said he has not yet heard the statement directly.
