Houston-based retailer Active Athlete has collaborated with adidas for a second time on the Superstar 'Lone Star Reppin,' a sneaker inspired by Texas culture and rodeo season. The design features elements reminiscent of Western cowboy boots and heritage symbols. It releases on March 7, 2026, for $110 at Active Athlete locations and online.
Active Athlete, a Houston retailer founded in 1988 by Paul Seernani, has partnered with adidas again to create the Superstar 'Lone Star Reppin,' celebrating Texas heritage and community pride. The sneaker draws from the Lone Star State's cowboy traditions, especially timely during Houston Rodeo season. Active Athlete, which now operates three stores in Houston, has long supported local culture, with adidas backing the retailer since its early days.
The design incorporates premium brown leather on the upper, accented by white and turquoise stitching that echoes classic Western cowboy boots. Rope-style laces evoke bull-riding festivities, while raised 'Lone Star Reppin' lettering on the heel tabs highlights the Texas theme. Additional details include belt-buckle style dubraes, a metal cowboy or cowgirl boot hangtag, cowhide-printed insoles, and a star-and-horseshoe emblem on the tongue. Turquoise accents appear on the signature Three Stripes with cowboy boot-style stitching, and the sneaker offers four interchangeable lace options.
To mark the launch, Active Athlete will host events at its Cullen, Federal, and Wilcrest locations. The flagship Cullen Boulevard store will feature a 'Lone Star Saloon' pop-up experience on March 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with further activations planned around Houston Rodeo festivities.
The Active Athlete x adidas Superstar 'Lone Star Reppin' will be available in limited quantities starting March 7, 2026, exclusively through Active Athlete's website and stores, priced at $110.
