The special assize court in Paris delivered its verdict on Friday 17 July 2026 after three and a half months of trial in the Athanor case.
Between 2016 and 2020, a criminal cell linked to the Athanor Masonic lodge in Hauts-de-Seine carried out contracts for intimidation, assault and murder. Frédéric Vaglio was sentenced to 25 years, Daniel Beaulieu to 30 years and Sébastien Leroy to 27 years.
Five defendants were acquitted, including Dylan B., Alain and Nancy M. Two soldiers from the Cercottes CPES, Pierre Bourdin and Carl Esnault, received 12 and 9 years respectively.
Jean-Luc Bagur was sentenced to 16 years. The trial lasted more than 600 hours of debates.
