BDS hubs deliver over one million non-financial services under NilePreneurs

The Business Development Services (BDS) Hubs under the Central Bank of Egypt's NilePreneurs initiative have delivered more than 1.16 million non-financial and advisory services to date. These services have supported around 502,000 young people, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including 210,000 women. The hubs have also facilitated access to EGP 19 billion in financing for over 14,000 projects.

The BDS Hubs operate under the NilePreneurs initiative to provide integrated advisory packages that help entrepreneurs secure suitable funding and strengthen business growth and competitiveness. From 2020 to 2025, the hubs experienced significant expansion, achieving an average annual growth rate of 135% in services delivered and 125% in clients served. The network covers 132 hubs across 25 governorates.

This milestone highlights the Central Bank of Egypt's ongoing commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and MSMEs, encouraging banks to expand non-financial and advisory services, and promoting the integration of informal businesses into the formal economy. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030, emphasizing inclusive economic empowerment.

The free services offered include support in selecting viable project ideas, company establishment procedures, facilitating registration and licensing, conducting feasibility studies and financial evaluations, and preparing credit files. The hubs also provide information on financing options, connect entrepreneurs with suppliers, open new market opportunities, and deliver capacity-building training programs to enhance operational efficiency.

Entrepreneurs, youth, and MSMEs can access these services free of charge by visiting BDS Hubs located in bank branches, youth centers, and universities across most governorates, with locations available on the official NilePreneurs website.
