CAF announces 9 billion dollars in financing for Colombia

CAF president Sergio Díaz-Granados confirmed a 9 billion dollar financing package for Colombia covering the period 2026-2030.

The agreement was closed on Friday at Universidad EIA in Medellín. Attendees included president-elect Abelardo de la Espriella, vice president-elect José Manuel Restrepo and designated finance minister Miguel Gómez.

The package is structured around four main axes: energy security, infrastructure for productivity, prosperity and social inclusion, and territorial presence and strengthening. Díaz-Granados described it as the entity's most ambitious bet in the country.

In addition, CAF will launch 1.2 billion dollars for subnational operations. The announcement aims to close territorial gaps and reduce logistics costs in Colombia.
