The 40.8-metre custom superyacht Aisha has been launched at the Anadolu Shipyard near Istanbul, Turkey. Built in aluminium by Red Yacht Design, the yacht emphasizes family living spaces while maintaining strong performance. Delivery is scheduled for this spring.
The Anadolu Shipyard, a facility close to Istanbul best known for military vessels, has launched the 40.8-metre custom superyacht Aisha. Constructed entirely in aluminium, Aisha was conceived by Red Yacht Design, a studio with offices in London and Istanbul. The owner commissioned the yacht to provide generous family living spaces without compromising performance and seakeeping. Naval architecture and engineering were handled by Notilus Engineering, while project management was overseen by Turkish firm Eureka Yachts.
The owner's brief called for "substantial interior volume" to allow extended time onboard with family and friends. Red Yacht Design achieved this through a raised pilothouse, a 9.1-metre beam, and an open aft deck with unfolding bulwarks. Fatih Surekli, co-founder of Red Yacht Design, described Aisha as a "sporty-looking" yacht that supports the performance of a 40-metre vessel. "We designed the exterior lines using modern, simple yet sophisticated lines. It was our priority to use wide windows," he said.
Interiors, also by Red Yacht Design, were developed in close collaboration with the owner to reflect his lifestyle. The result is a "welcoming, practical and highly personal interior" suited for long stays, entertaining, and family routines. The 60-square-metre saloon includes a lounge, a table for breakfast or games, and a bar connected to the galley via a tilting window.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests, with a full-beam master cabin on the main deck featuring an office and his-and-hers bathrooms. The lower deck has two double cabins and two single cabins with additional Pullman berths, which can convert to doubles. Eight crew members can be accommodated.
The 120-square-metre sundeck offers a dining table for 12, a bar-cum-barbecue, lounge areas, and a service lift from the galley. An extended hardtop provides shade, with a sunning area available. Powered by twin MAN engines, Aisha reaches a maximum speed of 19 knots and has a range of 1,500 nautical miles at 15 knots cruising speed.
Late last year, Red Yacht Design launched the collaborative brand Manari Yachts, set to debut with a Mediterranean dayboat model.
