Moon Shot has revealed details of their third studio album, Thunderlust, set for release in autumn 2026. The band will support the album with a headline tour across Germany in fall 2026. They also released the first single, No Walls, last Friday.
Moon Shot's upcoming album Thunderlust marks their third studio effort, following Confession in 2021 and The Power in 2024. The band describes the new record as an electrifying chapter, louder, bolder, and clearer, born from a process of openness and clarity after extensive live performances across Europe.
Thunderlust embodies the group's 21st Century Rock sound, blending classic rock punch, punk urgency, and alternative intensity. As a live-oriented band, Moon Shot emphasizes the album's energy, likening it to a worn leather jacket—familiar yet tougher.
The first single, No Walls, was released last Friday. It features a distinctive groove, raw rock energy, and a sing-along chorus, addressing connection and trust in a divided world. Guitarist Jussi Ylikoski called it “a massive sing-along anthem with a message and melody fit for a king.” Frontman Ville Malja described it as “a loud statement for unity in dark times.”
To promote Thunderlust, the band announced the Thunderlust Tour 2026, starting October 22 in Leipzig at Hellraiser, followed by dates in Berlin, Hamburg, Bochum, Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hannover through November 20. Pre-sale begins March 4, 2026, via shop.moonshotofficial.com, including a Ticket + Album Bundle with blind pre-orders of the album on CD or vinyl at an early-bird price.
Before the headline run, Moon Shot will join Die Happy as special guests in March 2026 for shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Munich, Ulm, Freiburg, Langenthal in Switzerland, Cologne, Hannover, Prague in Czech Republic, Nuremberg, and Aschaffenburg.
The band consists of Jussi Ylikoski on guitars, Henkka Seppälä on bass, Ville Malja on vocals, and Mikko Hakila on drums.
