A new Pulse Asia survey shows that almost one in three Filipinos want President Marcos to discuss anti-corruption initiatives in his fifth State of the Nation Address on Monday.
The survey was conducted from June 28 to July 6 among 2,400 respondents with a margin of error of plus or minus two percent. Anti-corruption, including accountability for those behind the flood control scandal, ranked highest in Luzon including Metro Manila and Mindanao, as well as among socio-economic classes ABC and D.
18.7 percent wanted discussion of affordable prices of basic commodities, which led in the Visayas and among class E respondents. Other issues included livelihood and jobs at 6.6 percent, poverty at 6.2 percent, and illegal drugs at 5.5 percent.
Only 1.2 percent said they wanted the President to address the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. The question was open-ended, allowing each respondent to name one issue.
