Players can now haul debris to processing plants for rewards in this free content addition.
No Man's Sky, the exploratory space simulation from Hello Games, received its Remnant update on February 11, 2026, marking the start of the game's tenth anniversary celebrations. This is the 39th major update since the game's launch nearly a decade ago, following the December 2025 Breach release that added explorable derelict space wrecks.
The centerpiece of Remnant is the Gravitino Coil, described by Hello Games as "a powerful anti-gravity module for your multi-tool" that allows players to "grab large objects and fling, toss or carefully carry them around the world." It turns the game into a "physics playground," enabling players to hoist salvage, debris, or even Sentinels and use them as improvised weapons by hurling heavy objects. As the studio notes, "Seize and fling a variety of items with the Gravitino Coil, creating your own physics playground."
Remnant introduces a new industrial gameplay loop focused on scavenging and recycling. Players can collect materials from planetary wrecks and garbage, load them onto customizable exocraft like the Colossus—now equipped with tippable flatbeds, tank tracks, mechanical legs, or spider-like designs—and transport them to Waste Processing Plants. There, scrap is processed into "rare and highly prized resources," yielding loot such as dozens of new vehicle parts and a new armor set with padded fabrics and steampunk detailing. Hello Games emphasizes customization: "Build your own brightly coloured incinerators, spider legged sci-fi explorer, or heavily armed military vehicles with tank tracks."
A limited-time community Expedition invites players to join convoys in cleaning up a debris-covered planet, working alone or with others to reclaim it and earn rewards. The update builds on 2025's five major additions, including Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon, and Voyagers, continuing Hello Games' tradition of free post-launch support that has transformed the game since its troubled 2016 debut.
Remnant is available today across platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and VR versions like PS VR2. Hello Games teases more anniversary content with "Our journey continues."
