In her morning briefing on February 9, she highlighted the focus on uniting America, including the US and Canada. The performance contrasted with President Donald Trump's criticism, calling it terrible.
On February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime with an all-Spanish repertoire, a first in the event's nearly 60-year history. The Puerto Rican artist opened with 'Tití me pregunté' and followed with tracks like 'Yo perreo sola', 'Mónaco', 'Baile inolvidable', 'NUEVAYoL', and 'El apagón'. The performance featured Puerto Rican cultural elements, such as a replica of a typical cement house, the endangered endemic frog sapo concho, and nods to power outages and the migrant experience in the United States.
Special guests included Lady Gaga, who performed 'Die with a Smile', and Ricky Martin on 'Lo que le pasó a Hawaii'. A key on-screen message read: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love”.
The next day, during her morning briefing, Sheinbaum described the show as “very interesting” for its language and unity theme: “That he sang in Spanish at the Super Bowl and that the message is about the union of America, the American continent, because it mentions all the countries at the end of the song, including the United States and Canada”. She added about the symbols: “(There were) many symbols. And indeed, the best antidote to hate is love”.

In contrast, Donald Trump slammed it on Truth Social as “absolutely terrible, one of the worst in history” and “a horrible choice”, claiming no one understood the lyrics and the dancing was repulsive, especially for children. Bad Bunny has previously criticized Trump's immigration policies, canceling his US tour last year over fears of raids and stating at the 2026 Grammys: “We are not savages, not animals, we are humans and we are Americans”, followed by “out with ICE”.
Super Bowl LX crowned the Seattle Seahawks champions, defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 before over 68,000 spectators.
