Yungblud announces second part of Idols album

Yungblud has revealed the release of Idols Part II, the second installment of his concept album, set for February 20. The Doncaster-born singer described it as an uplifting new chapter focusing on feeling invincible and alive. It includes a collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins on a new version of Zombie.

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, announced Idols Part II on February 18, marking the continuation of his 2025 concept album Idols. The first part, released in June 2025 via Island Records/Locomotion, debuted at number one in the UK and featured singles such as Hello Heaven, Hello, Lovesick Lullaby, and Zombie. Harrison had previously told NME that part one explored reclamation of self, quoting, “All you are is a self-fulfilling prophecy / A product of your own temptation,” while part two would delve into mortality and cynicism.

In his latest statement, Harrison shifted the tone, saying, “This is it. The second chapter of the ‘Idols’ story. ‘Part 1’ was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. ‘Part 2′ is about realising that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me.” He added, “It’s about realising that you can feel invincible when you actually feel yourself. It’s about comprehending that my heart is beating and that my lungs are filling up with air.” The album, produced again with Matt Schwarz, includes six new songs plus the Zombie collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins, released earlier this year.

The tracklist comprises: I Need You (To Make The World Seem Fine), The Postman, Zombie (feat. The Smashing Pumpkins), Time, War Part II, Blueberry Hill, and Suburban Requiem, which serves as the lead single. Idols Part II follows Harrison's recent successes, including a UK number one collaboration with Aerosmith on One More Time and a Grammy win for Best Rock Performance for his rendition of Changes at Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning farewell show in 2025. At the Grammys, he shared the award with performers including Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme and Frank Bello of Anthrax, and brought Sharon Osbourne onstage.

Harrison, who received three rock category nominations—the first for a British artist in a single year—will launch a UK arena tour in April 2026, starting in Sheffield on April 11 and including The O2 in London on April 24.
