Avatar Coffee Roasters to open third cafe in Menifee

Avatar Coffee Roasters, a Southern California specialty coffee company, plans to open its third location in Menifee. The new cafe will occupy the former Pieology Pizzeria space at 30075 Haun Road near Countryside Marketplace. No exact opening date has been announced, but a liquor license application indicates upcoming buildout.

Avatar Coffee Roasters is expanding with a new cafe in Menifee, marking its first venture into Riverside County. The site at 30075 Haun Road previously housed Pieology Pizzeria and sits near the Countryside Marketplace shopping center, which attracts traffic from nearby residential areas and national retailers.

The company, known for small-batch specialty beans sourced from family-owned farms worldwide, currently operates two locations. Its original cafe opened at 1951 East Dyer Road in Santa Ana, where it roasts and serves coffee. A dedicated roastery followed at 4070 Mission Boulevard in Montclair, supplying fresh roasts weekly to the cafes.

At the Menifee location, customers can anticipate a menu focused on specialty coffee and tea beverages, alongside breakfast and lunch options. Espresso drinks will include lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, cortados, and Americanos, with flavored varieties such as Madagascar Vanilla Latte and Cardamom Vanilla Latte. Cold options feature nitro cold brew, Kyoto-style cold brew, matcha drinks, and seasonal items, complemented by loose-leaf teas and tea lattes.

Food selections go beyond pastries to offer avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, flatbreads, and acai bowls. The cafe will also sell whole bean coffees, including Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Colombia Jerico Madre Laura, and house blends like Jeevan and Nirvana.

Public records suggest interior improvements are planned before the opening, based on the liquor license filing. This expansion builds on the brand's emphasis on in-house roasting and a comprehensive cafe experience.
