Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, sidelined all season by a torn Achilles tendon, will participate in the 2026 NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest. The event features eight shooters, including past winners and current league leaders, set for February 14 in Inglewood, California. Lillard aims for a record-tying third title after victories in 2023 and 2024.
The NBA announced on February 8, 2026, that Damian Lillard will join seven other players in the State Farm 3-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend. Lillard, a 35-year-old nine-time All-Star, has not played in the 2025-26 season after tearing his left Achilles tendon in Game 4 of the Milwaukee Bucks' first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers in April 2025. The Bucks waived him over the summer, clearing $113 million from his contract, which allowed Portland to sign him to a three-year, $45 million deal in July 2025, returning him to the franchise where he spent his first 11 NBA seasons.
This marks Lillard's sixth appearance in the contest and fourth consecutive. He won in 2023 and 2024 but lost to Miami Heat's Tyler Herro in 2025, who is sidelined this year with a rib injury. Lillard ranks fifth in NBA history with 2,804 three-pointers made and leads the Blazers with 2,387. A victory would tie him with Larry Bird and Craig Hodges for three titles.
The field includes Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker, the 2018 winner; Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel; Philadelphia 76ers' Tyrese Maxey; Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell, who leads the league with 180 threes made this season; Denver Nuggets' Jamal Murray; Milwaukee Bucks' Bobby Portis Jr.; and Miami Heat's Norman Powell, a former Blazer. Maxey, in his debut, ranks fourth with 169 threes and is the first 76ers participant since Kyle Korver in 2005. Knueppel is third with 174, while Portis is the only non-top-50 three-point maker this season.
The contest kicks off All-Star Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on February 14 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, broadcast on NBC and Peacock. Participants have 70 seconds per round to shoot from five racks, with money balls worth extra points, including three-point shots from the logo. The top three advance to the final round.
