According to a police source, he immediately struck the aggressor to halt the attack. In retaliation, the individual delivered violent kicks, forcing the husband to flee toward the nearby police station.
The aggressor did not give up the chase. He followed his target down the street, soon joined by a second man. Under the streetlights, the two individuals, each about 1.60 meters tall, drew samurai-style swords. These weapons, featuring black blades and handles, measured around sixty centimeters in length. They attempted to strike the man, who dodged the blows and fled once more to the police station.
Authorities have requested surveillance footage to clarify the exact circumstances. The Évry prosecutor's office declined to comment, as the investigation is ongoing. This incident highlights the dangers faced during interventions against violent assaults in urban settings.
