Mexican wrestler Penta Zero Miedo beat Dominik Mysterio on March 2, 2026, in RAW to secure his first WWE Intercontinental Championship. Hailing from the State of Mexico, the masked fighter hailed the win as fulfilling a personal and shared dream for many compatriots. The victory followed an intense match involving interventions from other wrestlers.
Penta Zero Miedo, who joined WWE in January 2025, took on Dominik Mysterio in the March 2, 2026, episode of RAW. The match was highly intense, featuring holds, slaps, and aerial moves from the ropes. During the bout, Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh intervened to punish the Mexican wrestler at several points, while Mysterio even tried to remove his mask, though Penta escaped in time.
The fighter from the State of Mexico turned the tide with a series of holds and powerful slams onto the mat. After dodging a surprise attack, he landed a decisive counter that left his opponent down, allowing the referee's three-count. Upon raising the belt, Penta stated: “This was achieved tonight, let me tell you something, wrestling is like life itself, no matter how many times you lose, get kicked or fall, if you believe in yourself every day this is the result, the gold, never stop believing in yourself”.
He also said: “Penta comes from nothing, and when you come from nothing, you don't have to lose and you have no fear”. Born in the State of Mexico, Penta started training young, traveling to Mexico City due to a lack of local facilities. He attempted to migrate illegally to the United States for opportunities but was deported after getting separated from his group. He debuted in AAA as Pentagón Jr., using his earnings to open a carnitas restaurant in Teotihuacán and establish a gym. He has appeared in events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. “It's more than 20 years of work, struggle, and sacrifice to be here and of course I enjoy it, but it's not the end of the story, it's the beginning”, he shared.
