Healthcare facilities have until July 31 to raise concerns over verified claims from the defunct NHIF worth KSh10 million or less.
SHA Chief Executive Officer Mercy Mwangangi issued the notice on July 24. Facilities must submit requests for clarification to directorbenefitsandclaims@sha.go.ke by the deadline. Submissions require the facility name, former NHIF code, claim amount, reference numbers, explanation and supporting documents.
All submissions will be reviewed within three weeks after July 31, with outcomes communicated to individual facilities. The move follows the January release of KSh4 billion to settle verified claims of KSh10 million or less, intended to benefit 3,527 healthcare facilities.
Facilities that do not submit concerns by the deadline are expected to proceed with the communicated claim amounts as the payment process concludes. SHA stated the review aims to ensure fairness and transparency based on verified records.
