Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar update adds cherry blossom features

Marvelous has released version 1.4.0 for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The update introduces cherry blossom-themed gliders, new customization options, and several fixes. It continues support for the farming simulation game into 2026.

The ver. 1.4.0 patch for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar became available on February 11, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This update brings a touch of Japan's sakura season to the game, despite the real-world season being a month away.

Key additions include two new cherry blossom-themed gliders: the 'Ceremonial Glider' and 'Leaf Glider'. Players can also access Deluxe Cards Vol. 4 for Happy Bingo, along with 10 new hair color options and 10 new eye color options for character customization. A practical feature allows checking windmill production status directly from the general map screen.

The patch addresses technical issues, fixing a problem that caused rare game crashes during some cutscenes and including other minor bug fixes. Full patch notes, originally shared on the game's Steam page, are as follows:

  • Added Deluxe Cards Vol. 4 to Happy Bingo
  • Added 10 new hair color options
  • Added 10 new eye color options
  • Added ability to check windmill production status from general map screen
  • Fixed issue resulting in rare game crashes with some cutscenes
  • Other minor bug fixes

Launched in 2025 on Switch and Switch 2, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar received positive reception. In a review, it was described as "a fantastic reinvention filled with smart choices and heartfelt polish." This update, though not the largest, demonstrates Marvelous' ongoing commitment to the title.
