Fi launches Ultra pet tracker with T-Mobile Starlink service

Fi has introduced the Ultra dog tracker, which uses T-Mobile's T-Satellite with Starlink to provide location data in areas without cell coverage. The device automatically switches between LTE and satellite networks across the United States.

The tracker delivers continuous GPS updates even in remote or rural locations. Battery life lasts about two days due to constant GPS operation, shorter than the two weeks to three months offered by earlier Fi Series 3+ models.

Additional features include a callback system that uses sounds and vibrations to recall dogs, Lost Mode for intensified tracking, and Search Party, which alerts nearby Fi users. A Safe Zone boundary alert is planned for future release.

New users pay $199 for the device, a $20 activation fee, and $189 annually for service. Existing subscribers can add the tracker for $299 without changing their current plan. The product fits standard collars and harnesses.
