Hong Kong's Ocean Park has announced the deaths of its last two arctic foxes in the Arctic Fox Den, named Siu Go and Trinity, both aged 11. The theme park made the announcement on Saturday but did not specify the exact timing of the deaths.
A park spokesman stated: “The park’s animal care and veterinary team closely monitored the health of each arctic fox throughout their later years and provided them with meticulous care.” However, they ultimately succumbed to age-related and irreversible functional decline.
Siu Go and Trinity served as animal ambassadors, drawing visitors to the enclosure. The spokesman added that “park staff and visitors who met these animal ambassadors will miss them dearly.” The Arctic Fox Den is now temporarily closed to the public.
